Welcome to the Lake Flaming Gorge Yacht Club web site: The Lake Flaming Gorge Yacht Club was founded in 1986 to serve the interest of boat owners and water recreational enthusiasts utilizing the waters and surrounding area of Lake Flaming Gorge located on the north eastern border of Utah and south eastern border of Wyoming. The lake wanders through the beautiful Uinta Mountains. The Lake is managed by the USDA Forest Service as part of Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area. Flaming Gorge Lake is a large 91 sq. mile lake with world class fishing, and boating. It is an excellent alternative to LakePowell if you're looking for fewer people. Shore camping spots help the lake to accommodate a large number of boaters without crowding. There is lots of room for all types of water activities.
The Lake Flaming Gorge Yacht Club was established to promote and develop a fraternal sprit among the local outdoor enthusiasts, and promote safe and fun boating. We are a fun loving group that enjoys boating, friendship and promoting the boating experience.
